Many of us know beforehand that this site called Letterboxd which we love and appreciate so much for having been created almost 10 years ago is based in New Zealand. I always believe in this country which I always think has deserved better treatment in the sense that the films, series, or productions that are made, shot, and manufactured there are unfortunately irrelevant to many people and that they are lost to the point of not receiving the honor they deserve, however, there have been cases of directors and actors who have come to stand out, demonstrating their hard work and talent, which has helped them gain international recognition and overcome those barriers, in part because they love their work…
This movie isn’t nothing we’ve seen before when someone goes missing but it does explore the themes of loss and betrayal and what’s going through our characters minds and how it’s effecting them. I have to talk about Antony Starr he gives such an emotional performance and proves he is the best at what he does I found myself shedding tears just bc of the grief and acceptance he portrayed so well he definitely needs more movie roles asap
