The beginning was horrid, not filmmaking wise but character wise. I know girls exactly like these 2 and they’re complete cows, horrible people acting like they own the world. Anyway, once I got past my initial dislike of the 2 lead characters, and the incessant partying seemed to take a backseat to the actual storyline, that’s when I started to really enjoy the film.
I am a big fan of Alia Shawkat, and I like Holliday Grainger also, and even though these roles aren’t their best I thought they had great chemistry and they were very convincing, so there’s some great acting from the 2 of them.
The story of friends drifting apart when a romantic interest is involved has been done plenty of times before, and also done better than it is here, however, this still has enough charm and fun to give you enjoyment out of a cliche trope.
