I can still hardly believe that I’m here right now, and this movie was the perfect way to ease me into the festival. A thirty-something falls in love with a charming artist, but what does this new relationship do to the her most important one of the last decade? I adored these characters, as melodramatic and pretentious as they were. You could argue they aren’t written realistically, but they read to me as people who just didn’t know how to behave. These friends love each other deeply, but there’s such a great deal of enabling of bad habits that it’s hard…
