Started reading a draft from May 2019 and if you thought the Licorice Pizza discourse was tiresome...just you fucking wait.
i have not watched a single film in the last month but i am returning to let everyone know that i will go absolutely feral when this is released! prepare yourselves…
A period piece written and directed by one of my favorite filmmakers who’s entire filmography consists of only masterpieces in my eyes as well as my favorite films of all time… and the release date is on Christmas Day??? Sounds a bit too familiar… I can’t wait to hype this up and write a review on it when the trailer releases on September 27th and also have literal dreams about seeing the film and write reviews about that too, only for my expectations to get shattered because it’s mid compared to the other movies made by the director. But hey, alls I’m saying is that this has got that The Batman and Barry Lyndon runtime clocking in at 3 hours…
I’ve taken the bait, the 2019 draft is still the most brilliant script I’ve ever read (hopefully studio notes were kept at a minimum). This will AT WORST receive 2 of the big 5 Oscars. A moment in history! Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Damien Chazelle? I can't lose.
Whiplash one of my all-time favorites... La La Land among my most passionately hated... tie breaker here
