it takes a truly breathtaking number of terrible visual choices to turn $73m into what looks like a backyard play retelling of dune/planet of the apes, and this movie somehow made every single one them. it never fails to shock and impress me honestly.
My parents said "Honey, If you get an "A" we will take you to that great new movie you want to see"! ......but they failed to mention what we would go see if I got an "F".
Battlefield Earth is my Black Panther. This movie empowered me and has open my eyes into the world of Scientology. It helped me get over my rejection from the female known as Mary Sue Whipp who’d rather date a Chad instead of a true gentlemen who would treat her well. Amazing cinematography and a great performance from John Travolta, who was fortunately moved on from artsy-fartsy hipster trash like Pulp Fiction (1994). Films like the Battlefield Earth are true art that often get misunderstood by filthy normies who watch MCU kiddie movies instead of challenging, thought-provoking kino like Staying Alive (1983).
Take a drink every time there is a wipe or Travolta laughs, you will be in the ER within 40 minutes.
Einziger Unterschied zwischen "Battlefield Earth" und "Cats"? Bei "Cats" wurden die Szenen mit Arschlöchern wenigstens vorher entfernt.

A fun disaster of a movie with a hilarious performance from John Travolta, and a truly awful direction from Roger Christian.
