  Mejor de lo que aparenta, el inicio es bastante bueno con toda la trama siniestra de niños asesinados, en verdad te empieza a intrigar por lo bien que está hecha y con Joaquín Cosío, peeero no supieron mantener la trama y hacía el final se queda cómo otra más del montón genérico.

  Ojalá no hubieran involucrado tantas cosas del evangelio, pero aaaayy el Jesucristo parlante debió ser creado con efectos prácticos, ese tipo de estatuas me dan mucha cosa en las iglesias y aquí tenían la oportunidad perfecta y se les fue :(

  It is one of the best that has been done in Mexico in terms of Terror. Joaquín Cosio's performance is excellent. Entertaining story from start to finish. Decent special effects. This is the Mexican cinema I love with this Horror film that will make you scream, feel tension and fear.

  "Belzebuth" works best when its supernatural elements are in the background. As the CGI demon begins to speak, it goes from a disturbing eerie thriller to a by the numbers exorcism movie that wastes a lot of time parading its numerous clichés and close calls.

  The 1st act of Belzebuth, while cruel & deeply unsettling, is among the most compelling in this subgenre bc it exists in a familiar world. We see troubled souls in public spaces - a hospital, a school - carrying out acts of mass murder like crimes that plague national news. The kind of heinousness that makes one stop & think, 'what could've possessed someone to do such a horrible thing?'.

  Our main protagonist, Detective Ritter (Cosio), suffers great loss firsthand from the 1st mass murder, & the story picks up 5yrs later, when he is assigned to lead the investigation of the 2nd alongside a paranormal forensic representative of the Catholic church. But what begins with…

  a cut-above possession/exorcism movie with one of the more disturbing opening scenes i've ever seen. sure, a lot of the film is stuff you've seen before if you're into this subgenre (i am), and i found it surprisingly not scary, but it's waaaaay better than any movie of this kind that hollywood's churned out probably since 'emily rose.' it just launched on 'shudder' and i definitely recommend for fans of latin chanting, ritualistic symbols, disgraced former priests who may or may not be evil, and objects flinging themselves around a room

  Warum werden mehrere Babys von einer Krankenschwester auf der Säuglingsstation abgeschlachtet? Warum wird ein ganzes Schwimmbecken unter Strom gesetzt, um die Kleinkinder darin zu töten? Warum wird ein Kino während der Nachmittagsvorstellung in die Luft gesprengt? Fragen über Fragen, bei denen sich Genrefans natürlich interessiert nach vorne beugen.

  Mit seinen drastischen Tabubrüchen in den ersten 15 Minuten legt Belzebuth die Messlatte für Kleinkinder-Bodycounts auf schier unerreichbare Höhen und es verwundert, warum der Film nicht allein deshalb wie eine digitale Sau durchs Horrorfilmtwitterdorf gejagt wurde.
