It’s alright. Nothing new or ground breaking. I feel generally the same way I felt about Street Dancer. Although the dancing is stunning, I just don’t really care all that much for dance competition movies. And this one is probably worse than Street Dancer because it’s kinda all over the place.
I’m not sure what significance the scenes in 1944 had on the present day story. The transitions between the past and present are well done, but the second storyline doesn’t add much to the movie. In my opinion, there are two major ways to vastly improve this film. One, take out the war stuff completely and have this be your average 90 minute dance competition movie. Or two, still take that…
