Bill and Ted are sweet avatars of love and positivity and I would die for them
I don’t know. A little too earnest and updated for me? Would’ve been so fun if they just said fuck it and kept with the retro-futurist aesthetic of their predicted future from the 80s instead of giving it the Apple makeover, imo! I’m also almost never a fan of this exact type of celebrity-playing-themselves joke with Kid Cudi, but I’m not exactly the target demo of this movie as someone who first entered this universe a whole 6 hours ago.
Also also, so many modern comedies do this thing that bugs me where they hire comedic actresses for roles that require no actual comedy and are just reacting to comedy in earnest, which is weird enough, but is doubly weird…
Saw them live in 1999 and yes, Death’s 40-minute bass solo was the highlight of the Wyld Stallyns show.

I fuckin love these guys man.
I felt most excellent during the entirety. It made me big dumb goofy smile a lot. It's not perfect and it's not the best movie, but it's such a delightful movie.
Also, Alex Winter legitimately crushes it out of the park. It's like he never lost a beat.

Something about how unfailingly innocent and positive these movies are put a smile on my face for the entire film. I’m so sentimental lately, and I’m sure there’s a nostalgia factor, but a series about two dudes who shoot back in forth in time to visit themselves is made even sweeter when continued by their actual older selves 30 years later. So many classic franchises - Alien, Blade Runner, The Shining - have been revisited lately and none of them have had a ton to add, but this one seems justified for some reason and I hope they do more. Even 30 years from now. I loved it.

Her role playing Keanu Reeves "Ted's" daughter was spot on!
For a moment there I thought I was watching a very young Keanu that's how good she was.
Watching Keanu and Alex playing those guitars was pure joy!

I have no nostalgia for the Bill and Ted movies. Their presence was everywhere when I was a kid, and if I did watch the films at the time, they didn't make much of an impact. They were just stoner dudes going on dumb adventures, right? No, thanks! Gimme my Spider-Man instead!

First of all, its great to see them back. They are crazy-ass in this like they were previously. Samara and Atypical girl Brigette were so good.
