    This is my introduction to the show and holy shit, was it great. Everything was so damn near perfectly done, it's just amazing. Most of the flaws I have with it are the editing choices. In the reveal of the daughters race, I thought it was a bit dumb to show multiple clips of the Asian guy. I think it would've been much more effective if it wasn't shown at all, but hey, what do I know?
    Overall this was a great experience and I can't was to check out more of this show.

    I promise I like Black Mirror, really, but White Christmas gives in to the show's worst tendencies. Namely: unjustified sadism, meaningless shocks, ethically impossible technology. Will get to those in a bit, but first want to rant about how good the first story is, a delicious slice of dramatic irony where we're just waiting for our dorkish wannabe-womaniser to be let in on the gruesome joke. Thrilling, tense, dread-inducing, concise and effectively peeling the curtains away and revealing the horrors that lie within, it's one of my favourite things the show has mustered. Shame about the rest of White Christmas, eh.

    Have no clue why this is the top rated Black Mirror episode. It’s fine and John Hamm is, of course, charismatic but it was just kind of blah. Maybe I was expecting too much. 

    The cruelty came through loud and clear with the invention of a digital self but I couldn’t help but think there has to be a simpler way to run a smart house. And “blocking” was interesting because everyone has thought about it but the logistics just stuck in my brain. I just feel like this was an episode that should have stuck with one concept or one story and seen it all the way through.
