  The description of the film brought to mind the piece of garbage film I Spit on Your Grave, but I gave it a chance anyways because of a recommendation. While Grave spends almost half it's running time featuring the degrading torture of a female victim, THIS film actually skips all that and gets right to the escape and revenge part.

  Not seeing our protagonist, Tina Ivlev, tortured for an hour takes away nothing from the film. If anything the revenge in the film is even more cathartic then anything in Grave because more thought was put into how the hell the character went through changed her... possibly for the worst.

  A taunt revenge thriller that didn't go at all like I expected, not wasting anytime showing us the torture or sexual assualt of the female victim, the film refreshingly skips straight to her escape and shows her turning the tables on her former captor.
  The film follows the story of Eve (Tina Ivlev), shown via flashbacks on a home video recording on a day out with her boyfriend to be a normal, fun-loving 21 year old.   A revenge film where everything just kept getting darker. It didn't shirk the violence and the horrifyingly realistic people involved were great villains. I felt that the plot almost became a novelty as it went on and that came across like each scene was trying to one-up the last, similar to bosses in videogames. That sounds ideal I know but I'm not sure they needed to keep escalating things so quickly - the premise was nasty enough on its own to stick with.

  Imprisoned sex slave breaks free from her captor, only to discover there are more girls like her out there. She forces her captor to drive her to each of their locations in hopes of setting them free.

  So it's a tastefully done rape and revenge flick that doesn't show the rapey stuff and goes much further with the revenge. It sounds straight forward, but Eve's good intentions don't always work out, once she discovers some of the girls are beyond saving.

  I really, really wanted to love this movie. Like really love this movie.

  I love me a good a revenge movie. I also love me a good vigilante movie. When those two are combined with the perfect ingredients I often find myself thinking about a movie long after I have viewed it. The thing about this movie is that it feels like a warped mind fuck version of 12 Rounds or Die Hard With a Vengeance. Our hero is chasing clues and instructions from a demented,  fucktard, waste of human life.   Tina Ivlev as Eve is a fine talent. According to the movie she is also a kidnap victim bound to the floor with chains in a dark basement. The film is decently shot, with impressive camera angles and all that jazz. However, it gets silly with its over-zealous and over-assertive narrative. For you see, Eve manages to escape the dungeon and her master; even managing to overpower her kidnapper and locking him up with the same chains used on her. What's so silly you ask? Well, Eve returns to the house when she cannot find the key to the car. And? Well, she changes her mind after stumbling upon the bad guy's stash of Polaroids and builds a makeshift croc-leash…

  Eve (Tina Ivlev) escapes from a sex trafficking ring and forces her captor (Richard Tyson) to help her track down and free other victims in this decent revenge thriller.

  First thing's first, this has no on-screen rape or sexual assault which is a huge point in its favour. We start with Eve's escape and do not have to watch her suffering because this movie is good at show don't tell, the implications gleamed from the visuals (a decrepit locked room, a young woman chained to a filthy mattress) are plenty, we don't need to see the assault for the revenge part to work.

  Is this the best movie in the world? Not even close. Does it deserve a mere 20%…
