"Kim Nan-Joon, Kim Seok-Jin, Min Yoon-gi, Jung Ho-seok, Park Ji-min, Kim Tae-hyung, Jeon Jung-kook, BTS" - Audience chant.
Prepare thyself for the homoerotic subtext you weren't sure could exist in such concentrated form.
Have you heard of these guys? I just saw them in Chicago (May 11) and it was the most intense mass religious event I've ever been involved with. They sold out Soldier Field two days in a row. The choreography, music videos, songs, personalities, etc. are more advanced than any boy band power previously seen. They are so commercial that it comes back around and is cool again. Six of them don't really speak English that well and half of them don't even give a fuck and…
me before going into the cinema to watch BTS World Tour: Love Yourself in Seoul: i mean yeah, bts have been a big part of my life for almost four years now but like... i’ve grown a lot recently and i feel myself moving away from them and that’s fine, i still love and respect them so much and their music is still so important to me. but now i don’t have to keep up to date with everything they do, i don’t need to be so involved i guess
me immediately after stepping out of the cinema: KIM NAMJOON! KIM SEOKJIN! MIN YOONGI! JUNG HOSEOK! PARK JIMIN! KIM TAEHYUNG! JEON JEONGGUK! BTS!
Premise: I am not a fan, in the sense that before going in today all I knew about them was that they are a quite famous kpop group, but I had never sat down and listened to their songs. But because I work in a cinema I get movies for free and because I love pop music, concerts and choreography, I thought this might be my thing AND HOLY SHIT IT DEFINITELY WAS. Pure talent, catchy songs, dance routines that rile you up. I am definitely going to start listening to them now and catching up with their best performances, thank you very much YouTube. And the vibe in the screen, OMG. People clapping, cheering, singing, standing up and dancing just like at a concert. I couldn't help but smile.
