Reminiscent of The Florida Project, with two wonderful child leads and an emotional wallop of an ending.

A quiet, simple, stunning little emotional gut-punch.

Childlike kindness always overrides the messiness of adult world and shatters all power structures and boundaries. Excited to see where filmmakers go with tackling institutional violence through children’s perspective.
watched this today at the indigenous film festival in santiago, chile. it broke my heart in many different ways. colonial borders keep us away from the land, from the people, and the pain that little girl experienced by losing a friend to them, us watching the film could feel it through the screen. somos muchos pueblos, pero la lucha es la misma. ✊🏼
Ashland Independent Film Festival 2022
This is really good. A charming childhood adventure in the foreground and the inhumanity of the border in the background, some really effective long shot photography—such a rich and complex film drawn from such a seemingly simple scenario.

Oh man, this one dug itself deep into me. There’s so much to unpack here. I’m kinda left speechless at this one. Holy hell what a short.
