Another reminder that these institutions that are suppose to serve and protect the people hold fiancial gain & image above all else. Charles Cullen killed these people and everyone knew but these people held the hospital's reputation above saving lives and for that they are complicit. Charles Cullen was brought to justice the others involved in the cover walked free.
Ugh! Another fascinating story ruined by Netflix. Riddled with copy/paste Netflixy editing style, melodramatic long slow-mo re-enactments, flyover drone shots, over the top loud eerie music, dragging its feet all the way to the end. Only 90 minutes and it felt twice as long.
Fuck this. Fuck Netflix. And fuck whoever came up with this garbage style of documentary making.
An ok documentary talking about a real life serial killer that shocked me with how many he killed, the position of trust that he was in and unbelievably that the hospitals helped cover up the crimes. It had twists and turns and some sad parts. Looking forward to watching the Jessica chastain film to see how that compares to this.
Capturing the Killer Nurse is the documentary version of the true life story of a nurse who killed his patience for almost twenty years. Just a week or two earlier, the Good Nurse starring Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne impressed me quite a bit. They both tell the same story and it was impossible to not compare the two versions, making the narrative film weaker by showing off its lies, exaggerations, and Hollywood moments.
I think it was unwise and uncool for Netflix to pull this stunt... just earlier this year, the Ron Howard film about the Thai cave rescue came out and was compared to the Disney+ documentary from the previous year. In that case, two different streaming platforms…

Interesting but not necessary follow up documentary to The Good Nurse.
It was an alright documentary. Charles Cullen would have been stopped sooner if hospitals cared about patients instead of money
Killing patients is not the way. Coming home after a long day and complaining of unfair assignments and mean family members to your non-healthcare wife is the way.
By the time it takes even one of these people to get out a full sentence, William Shatner would've already finished dictating a 900-page novella/audio book. Felt like 3 hours. Just watch the movie (The Good Nurse) instead.
