1943, Jan 12?-15 - Germans plot to kidnap Churchill as he travels by train, guarded by Americans!, from Algiers to Casablanca for big conference. Opening of Nov, '42 makes no sense (but can't find actual date). There is an attempt at seriousness, but bizarre plot, music, and acting conspire against it ... And w/ the last line spoken, 'Let's go', this film makes 'Zardoz' look like an Oscar winner. Note: Allied landings in N Africa Nov 8, '42; Casablanca Conference, where Churchill, FDR, & Stalin meet in Morocco on Jan 14-24, '43; FDR arrives Jan 14.
