It is wrong to just diss a movie since lots of effort and stuff goes into it. but making such a lazy movie with literally 0 reasearch while shitload of info is available in this digital age is just unacceptable. THESE kinda movies getting financed is a poison for ktown. This isn't irumbuthirai's deleted scenes. this is the retarted and dumbfuck stepbrother of the movie. Pls don't compare
Chandru (Vishal) is a military officer and decides to help the police in tracking down a robbery gang who looted 50 different houses on the Independence day, among which Chandru’s grandmother is also a victim.
The film starts off well with an intense and racy robbery sequence. The film maintains the same tempo upto the interval point. The raciness and focus towards the main plot is the major advantage for the film and it is never disturbed by any songs or love track or comedy scenes. The second half is where the film loses it’s steam. The raciness is still there but the film is devoid of logic and emotional depth. The short flashback doesn’t create any impact. Even upto…
If any serious problems/cases that had to solve with first instant, call 'Chakra Vishal'.Whatever antagonist does, vishal finds out with ease.Shraddha and Robo shankar are annoying here.Such a logicless and dumb film !
Chakra is a poorly made cyber-thriller that makes you go WTF more times than you can count. I wasn't a big fan of Irumbu Thirai, and I definitely do not consider it the benchmark for cyber thrillers. That being said, there was a certain level of finesse in its making, and the cat-and-mouse antics in the second half made for mindless popcorn fare. Chakra, initially touted to be its spiritual sequel, is unintentionally hilarious in many scenes, wastes an efficient actor like Shraddha Srinath, positions Vishal's character Chandru as "always-one-step-ahead-of-the-villain" (which is a terrible move for thrillers), and has cringy one-liners from Robo Shankar.
Regina Cassandra, I'd say, was a weird choice to play the antagonist in this movie. I…
The only thing which I liked the most in the whole movie was the terrific acting by the child actor who played the role of Young Leela (Regina Cassandra.) That was pure art.
Just when I start to think that the movie is goina be intriguing, it ends with the Vishal entry. Shraddha Srinath is shown as a fearless super cop who also gets an action image background pinning down the local goon in a stylish way. But, it all takes the different path after the Vishal's entry. And he wasn't convincing either, which is a result of the sloppy screenplay I would say. I liked the fact that the movie didn't had unnecessary songs or any love track coming in between the story. Even so the movie failed to impress me. Overall, Chakra failed to spin the opportunity of being a perfect Irumbu Thirai Spin-off.
This could have been a good thriller movie but they tried to make too much out of it. Good first half with an average second half, the climax scene was too dumb and illogical.
One more "watchable" film only if you have read all reviews and if you can bare the ridiculously know-it-all Vishal. He can give tough competition to "A for Aperture of Radar" Bhoomi. After some decent intro Shradda was reduced to asking "Why Chandru?", "How Chandru?", "Sorry Chandru." Movie is on the lines of his superhit Irumbuthirai, but it was far superior.
