Earnest. Introspective. Invigorating to see Akerman discuss herself and her work so intimately. One part monologue, one part filmography montage. I wish there were hours upon hours more of something like Chantal Akerman par Chantal Akerman, where we are able to sit with Akerman as she dissects what it means to create a self portrait of your work, an extension of yourself. A personal hero of mine the more and more I learn about her and the way she saw the world.
