  I once met someone from Nebraska. I told him that I drove through Nebraska once and realized my car broke down because I saw the same corn around me for 3 hours straight. Got out of my car to see what was wrong. Turned out I was going 70 miles per hour.

  Anyway, he just looked at me for 5 seconds and barely smiled and said, "that's funny." I always wondered if it was funny, why didn't you actually laugh.

  Anyway, this movie is a fucking abomination.

  But lol at making the most anti-gmo horror movie ever.

  And also lolol for the creature looking like Corn Groot

  Okay, this was pretty bad. The gore didn’t make up for it being so cheap and ugly. None of the actors were good either. That corn monster also looked like some sort of DIY transformer.

  Same corn, different field

  As the 11th in the franchise I imagined they would finally learn from the ten others and be able to do something decent... well no, this is just another rehash of past failures mixed in with some of the worst writing i've seen in a while. What really kills it is the acting, it's overdone and corny (except for that little girl). Could not stand the annoying main character. First 40 minutes could of been cut out it felt completely unnecessary. Not even close to being the worst CGI i've seen but I didn't like the idea of using CGI in the first place.   This was surprisingly fine?

  I mean, I wasn’t expecting greatness, but I was expecting total trash since it was shelved for a few years before randomly getting a theatrical release. I really don’t know what the thinking behind that release was because while this looks good enough for a theatrical run there’s just…not really enough here to make it worth the cost. I guess Shudder was hoping for another Skinamarink, but this ain’t the one.

  Children of a Lesser Cob

  Being that I watched Kurt Wimmer’s flagrantly unnecessary entry into the Children of the Corn franchise last night, which means dozens of hours and no fewer than four glasses of seder wine have since intervened, I can’t recall all that much about it apart from my general disappointment with its existence. This is a deeply stupid and pointless endeavor that benefits no one, except maybe Fritz Kiersch, whose pretty middle-of-the road adaptation looks like a singular work of genius in contrast. Didn’t even have the decency to have the hero vanquish the villain with gun-fu and a super-sweet line like “go shuck yourself.” Should have been left to die on the stalk.

  Not the best of the franchise but I still found parts to enjoy about it. It kinda looks cheesy and cheap, stop trying to pass off country NSW as America, and some of the plot points make no sense, but I kinda like these stupid movies for fun. Eden was so cunty, at first I hated her but then I was like nah she’s iconic.

  Here we are again at another Children of the Corn movie.

  Let's be honest, I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. I thought it started weak and would probably bore me, but it got better later on. The plot did not develop very well; it felt rushed. However, what I liked was the nice imagery and cinematography, and it had some good little gore. The leader girl of the death cult was just so good at playing the villain, lol. I'm quite surprised that it had good CGI for the creature and blood, given that it's a cheesy and cheap horror movie. The ending was fun and didn't disappoint me. I also really liked the mid-scene.

  Overall, it was better than I expected, but there was nothing new that I would recommend.

  He who laughs his ass off…

  The editing was absolute garbage.  Time as a concept was confusing as hell.  How much time had passed after the initial opening scene?  How and when did little corn girl get possessed or influenced by “He Who Walks”?  How long did it take for Corn-erella to radicalize the other children?  Because apparently, according to continuity in this movie, it was about a day?  LOL. Also, the imprisoned adults randomly talk about “He” like they know of its existence and then there’s a shot of bodies near the edges of the cornfield.  Like, when did all of this happen?  

  There’s some fascinating visuals scattered throughout.  “He Who Walks” had an intriguing look to it…
