“Charles, you want to be with me 24 hours a day.”
“Why? What’s wrong with that?”
“There’s one or two things I like to do by myself. One of them is go to the gynecologist.”
“I changed back into my pajamas. If I’m gonna be depressed I might as well be comfortable.”
Funny lines and all, wanted to like it more than I did.
High Fidelity except with a much more outspoken Travis Bickle in the lead (I chuckled when Laura mentions she went on one or two dates with a taxi driver). Pretty dark character-drama about an over-possessive. Except I still feel for Travis and Rob. Charles? Not so much. But Heard is great as the guy who doesn’t “want to talk about hors d'oeuvres and dips right now, if that’s all right.” Just lays it bare and doesn’t over glamorize. Just outright co-dependency issues.
