I feel like there was a version of this where the focus was on Henry Yu Yung (a.k.a. Bruce Ly) and his Special Tactics Squad, but then someone got the bright idea to bring on Lee Majors II. He's not the worst action movie actor ever, but he's not bringing anything especially interesting to the proceedings, aside from a name. Pat McCormick plays the very rare jovial police captain, while Fitz Houston appears as the primary nemesis for our heroes.
The movie does nothing to hide this fact, so why should I?
The story is simple enough: People are dying from tainted cocaine, so Ly (and Majors, I guess...) have to find out who is tainting it and why? There's the usual, vaguely racist shenanigans as they learn to work and function together before the villain is inevitably unmasked and asses assemble to be kicked.
It's enjoyable enough as an early 90's cops-vs-coke film, but that's about where it stops.
