I read some reviews that said essentially this was just a longer episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm, and good lord they weren't kidding. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, being that I am a huge fan of the show, but everything here felt so ridiculously familiar. The writing, the tone, the acting, even the music, just an extension of Curb.
The fact that the film lacked any real originality is mostly forgivable though because Clear History is a pretty funny film. I enjoyed watching and had quite a few big laughs, but I am not sure anything presented in this film is all that memorable in the long run. I can quote my favorite moments from Curb episodes going back to Season One. Not entirely sure any single moment from Clear History will live on, but good for a fun watch for sure.
