I think maybe I'm not Jim Jarmusch's target audience.
Black and white, one shot to two shot to overhead shot of a tabletop, repeat for a hour and a half. Sure, there's a bit of cleverness in some subjects coming up between different people in different places, but it doesn't make up for the fact that we're spending most of the running time with a couple of people who generally make each other, and the viewer by extension, uncomfortable.
I could live a deep, long and fulfulling life without ever seeing alfred Molina fawn over Steve Coogan, or Tom Waits be a dick to Iggy Pop, or Cate Blanchett's schizoid discomfort with her own fame.
