  You know, for the longest time sitting through Crossroads, I was thinking "why is this so poorly regarded? 3.6 IMDB? It's not great, but it's serviceable. It's moralistic, it's got these girls coming together to confront their respective traumas and woes and teach young girls how to better cope with these very real situations in a healthy way."

  But it's not.

  It's a film about three girls who have no reason to come together - they don't even like each other - and go on a road trip during which traumas and woes happen, are briefly acknowledged, and are quickly moved on from, scarcely being mentioned again.

  I assumed that my love for this would come purely from the nostalgia and from the soundtrack full of bangers. 

  But honestly this movie is actually good. It’s a great road movie and a great coming of age movie. I do think that people are overly harsh to this because it’s for young girls and because it stars Britney Spears. She really is a star tho 😭

  if i told you i woke up from a dream in which there was a movie starring britney spears and her dad is dan aykroyd and she goes on a roadtrip with zoe saldana and her friend taryn manning is pregnant but falls down the stairs and her baby dies but thats okay because britney spears just wrote her new hit ballad im not a girl not yet a woman, and all of it was written by shonda rhimes WOULD U BELIEVE ME

  makes for a great double feature with Glitter, trust me.
