Death note, both the anime and manga are sublime thrillers with excellent narrative and really engaging storylines. this recopilation movie has to crumble all that in just 2 hours. By doing this a lot of stuff gets scrapped, like lights father, who's nowhere to be seen in this film, as well as Melo, who has his scar from the beginning, and we don't see the raid to his base. But then we get unnecessary clips of L narrating the story, in the orphanage or gore blood scenes. This movie doesn't know what to scrap and what to keep, which prevents it from being as perfect as it's original source.
