  A shameless Conan rip-off with more tits than a birdwatcher's notebook.

  The entire budget for this thing must've been about 70 dollars, 3 of which went on costumes, as the actors barely managed to have half a costume each allocated to them.

  Deathstalker has a wildly misleading poster, obviously fake stone walls, mud wrestling, shithouse gore effects, terrible acting, sleaze sleaze sleaze and a score called "generic royalty free sword and sandle score 4" downloaded from limewire along with a computer virus.

  I'll always have a soft spot for these tragic shameless cash grab rip off films. The only way this could be better is if it was Italian.

  Greased up bodybuilders, mud wrestling, terrible makeup effects, and more exposed breasts than an adult film festival. If that sounds like your idea of a good time, then I've got the perfect movie for you.

  I can't decide whether this is the most ambitious porn film ever, that's just been edited down for an R rating, or if it's the trashiest sword and sorcery film to come out of the 80s. There's a veritable sea of T&A on display here, as this apparently takes place in a universe where women's clothing either hasn't been invented yet or is in seriously short supply.   Man.. this movie is so horny, all the actors and extras participating in that large fight scene must have started an orgy immediately after the director yelled cut right?! I bet the guy who played the pig warrior still boasts about all the women/men he scored to this very day!

  My favourite IMDb trivia from this movie is that the mud wrestling girls from the aforementioned scene were actually real-life sisters.

  Cheap, tacky and sleazy that's the basic summary of James Sbardellati's "Conan the Barbarian" inspired knock off "Deathstalker". This is basically the cinematic version of a teenage boys fantasy where every male character is a steroid pumping blank sheet, and every female character is topless in nearly every single scene throughout the film.

  Presented in 4:3 aspect ratio "Deathstalker" looks and feels like it had the budget of a '60's television show, with the set and costume design to go along with it.   ,,Heroes and fools are the same thing.’’

  Damn, this is truly a pile of shit. But one that turns into a fun film! 

  While watching this I often had WTF Moments because it’s was so crazy. Great! 

  A so called ,,So bad it’s good’’ flick. Probably one of the best of its kind. 

  There is so much going on in here and this film has everything a fantasy film needs. Plus a big pinch of stupidity, violence, gore, sex and sleaziness. 

  And watching ,,Deathstalker’’ sometimes felt like playing silly around with some friends In the forest, dressed as warriors and having a good time. 

  I’m a big lover of trash films and really like ,,Deathstalker.’’ I will definitely continue and watch all the other films of the franchise, too.

  I found it. I found the campiest, most exhilarating and most beastly synthetic trash on earth. And I loved it—I'm also not proud of that. Deathstalker is sexist and awkward to endure such scenes—however, the real trash is the men writers, characters, and flimsy action, all of it wrapped meticulously in a terribly cheesy package of boobs, blood, and sword. The music is big and badass, like any fantasy Conan rip-off, and the entertainment is scorching. It's hilarious and drop-dead enjoyable if you can handle it—it also helped I watched this with a group because it really wouldn't be the same watching solo.   Barbarians and boobies, with every scene either combat or attempted rape, rinse, repeat. Lana Clarkson stands out as the topless swordswoman, who might be the only actual hero and actually has consensual sex, so naturally she gets killed off. Deathstalker (that's really his name - she keeps calling him "Stalker", so maybe Death is his first name?) gives zero shits about anything or anyone, he's just killing the evil wizard because some old lady kept nagging him about it. The wizard keeps a puke monster/puppet in a gold box next to his throne and feeds it eyeballs. Someone starts a pillow fight in the same scene that a pig man rips off one man's arm and beats another with it. The whole thing is just off-kilter enough to be entertaining.

  It's hard to believe but in the 80s there was a sword and sorcery film boom that proved lucrative to most studios. They were cheap to produce and as some of the films proved, quality wasn't a factor in most of them making money. The primary cause of the revitalization in the sub-genre was of course Conan the Barbarian and while it's a prime example of some of the films that went on to become cult classics, there's probably more forgettable crap that came out then anyone would care to remember.   Watched for the Crap Movie Collective.

  An average sword and sorcery movie. Can't game masters come up with a better plot than "You must collect the x number relics of bullshitium to unleash the power of whatever."

  Seriously I played some awesome games and many of them did not have us collect bullshit power relics. A vampire cult took over our nation and we ran around just collecting people to help us, and just going after items and gear WE thought would help us, not a the "Star of light than can kill any vampire."

  A movie with a loose plot being driven by a protagonist with even looser morals.
  
  DEATHSTALKER is way too cool of a name to be used in such a lame movie.

  The Boobs and Monsters were cool, and the first half was genuinely pretty fun, but the second half really dragged and bore me.
