Weird film. The subject matter is obviously important and deserves a showing.
There was no feeling that the outcome of the trial was ultimately in doubt but this wasn't necessarily important.
In fact the focus was on whether is was right to fight a holocaust denier in public and not whether they would win. This made sense for the narrative tension and gave this film a reason to exist.
The problem is the film doesn't address this. It doesn't even leave it out an ambiguous ending where you are left thinking. What you get is a glib conclusion of "yay we won!" as if that was the point. But it never was.
