Compared to the Ralph Lauren documentary I saw earlier this year, Dior and I was not very interesting to the audience. By the end of the Lauren documentary (Very Ralph), I wanted my whole wardrobe to be Ralph Lauren clothes (minus the non-vegan clothes that were made out of wool and down feathers for example). By the end of the Dior documentary, I really couldn't care less about anything Dior.
My notes were erased, so I don't really remember if there were too many things that would or would not fit within a vegan lifestyle. It was overall very boring, but one model's style stood out (Esther Heesch) toward the end. Otherwise, I would give this documentary a hard pass.

task 9 - watch a movie about fashion
dior and i is an enthralling, captivating, inviting, enraptured porthole into the torrential and frenzied industry of fashion (with a specific eye pointed towards the dior fashion house), alternating between its founder and its current ship captain, and the bridge (plank? no?) connecting the two. i found this documentary to be both amazing and completely breathtaking. it sucked me in from the very first moment and did not let me go the entire runtime. i'm so so happy i chose this one for the task. absolutely beautiful and sensational, charged with a worker bee maddened energy that is palpable in every frame. i've never seen the…
So beautiful. A lovely peek behind the scenes at what it takes to bring a couture fashion collection together, it’s not just the designer but a whole team of people working together to create something magical. It plays out in real time and is really interesting, from design to the sewing to the runway and manufacturing, for a fashion lover this is a dream. At the end when the models are walking the runway and the clothes just come alive, it’s really enchanting stuff. Dior is such a classy and elegant house and Raf Simons is one of the best designers in the world so they’re a match made in heaven. A lot of celebrities to spot throughout too, Jennifer Lawrence, Marc Jacobs, Marion Cotillard, and of course the grand dame herself, Anna Wintour.
When Raf started to cry because of how amazing his collection was... I was crying as well.
