  Great production all around. Good acting, cinematography, lighting, directing, all of that. Does a decent job revealing the anxieties and perceived catastrophe that come with becoming sexually active. Wish the conversation went on a little longer but I was happy with the ending.

  Sex education is incredibly important, for both straight and queer people alike. Dirty portrays a first-time sexual experience that is romantic, embarrassing, but all-together good to portray. I am very happy with the short where even when things don't go "according to plan", there is still a positive ending that comes out of it all. No sad or melancholy ending here, a victory for the queer boys. This also has stellar cinematography and good performances for the two leads. Will be keeping an eye out for future projects from this director, because I think he has something.

  watched this because I’m about to rewatch weekend for the umpteenth time and this was paired with it. It was lovely and super heartfelt. The actors had really great chemistry and the realism dedicated to the sex scene was refreshing. what a nice little short film.

  I saw this short film at Sundance. It's another awkward sexual coming-of-age story, which I've always found juvenile. The craftsmanship is strong, but I'm still squeamish, even at my age. The director confirmed in the Q&A that he wants teens to see this and feel more comfortable about their sexuality, an agenda that I find disingenuous.
