Apparently they announced plans to adapt World of Darkness for film and television back in 2021. That's cool.

Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen reunite to fight vampires, zombies and werewolves. Must be an Elseworlds story.
It was... not as bad as I was expecting it to be. Sure, there are terrible lines like "It's dying time" but it was a fun film. It reminded me of a mix between those noir films with a detective narrator, "Blade", "Rush Hour" and with a bit of "The Mummy" (the version with Brendan Fraser). So you see, it's bad but also it kinda works, despite a lot of really bad moments.
This one interested me after seeing Cemetery Man a month or two ago. Based on an Italian comic book which I'm not familiar with, it's kind of like an ambitious double episode of Grimm. Brandon Routh is a private investigator in New Orleans, investigating supernatural cases. I really didn't get into this at all, Brandon Routh possesses less life than some of the undead featured in the film and his annoying sidekick, Sam Huntington, wears thin very quickly. One of those films were I was willing it to end.
Bit of a dog.
Brandon Routh is a human who knows about the existence of unnatural creatures (vampires, werewolves, and zombies) who congregate in Louisiana.
Sam Huntington is his helper and they go about doing PI work.
They take on a job, from Anita Briem, that puts the PI team into the crosshairs of the creature world.
The movie plays out like an episode of Buffy or Angel.
EFX are passable, Story is ok.
The comedy felt out of place and flat. I had trouble understanding why the monsters feared Dylan Dog.
I REALLY can't understand the hate towards this one. It's charming, fun and well-made flick - who seems a lot more loyal to the original comic than Dellamorte Dellamore, who was just an inspiration anyway. Sure, the story wasn't fantastic - but come on, we're watching a lot of vintage exploitation movies where the stories are even worse than this :)
Halloween Horror 2013 No.11
This was made in 2010 and it was finally given a quiet DVD release this month in the UK.
Horror/Comedy/Noir/Adventure starring Brandon Routh as a PI who is able to communicate with vampires, werewolves and zombies.
I enjoyed it, it had elements of Men in Black, Underworld, Beetlejuice, True Blood and RIPD and had Kurt Angle in it too, so what more can you ask for?
Dylan Dog is that strange sort of movie that comes along sometimes: They're on the edge of terrible, but they're redeemed by a few inspired moments that win you over to the whole thing.
Dylan Dog does not get much right, but the movie has such a determined geniality you let it all go. It's a high-concept comic-horror tale about a human (Brandon Routh) who keeps peace among the factions of monsters that hang out in New Orleans. It takes seemingly endless voiceover narration by Routh to set this scenario and it never really makes any sense even then. After that bumpy exposition, we eventually get to a little smoother middle. Detective Dog goes about New Orleans in a VW…
Ho letto domila fumetti de Dylan Dog c'ho speso 7 euro e 50 e me la pijo al culo con sta merda
