A sweet but rather too sentimental remake of the Spanish-Argentinian film of the same name which was made in 2005 (although with many rewrites and refocusing).
Cantankerous Fred Barcroft has been moved by his daughter into a new apartment, right next door to devious life-loving Elsa Hayes. Right from the off we can guess the major plot points just might have something to do with love, age, and death, and that's within the first fifteen minutes.
