If you are a fan of Entourage like I am, you will enjoy this film. Although it feels completely different from the series in many ways, the humor, the quotable lines, and Ari Gold is still there. However, this feature-length film of the HBO show's main problem lies in the fact that it has far too many cameos. After 10 minutes I was overwhelmed by then. This was my exact problem with the last two seasons of Entourage as well.
I also feel like Doug Ellin completely ignored all the satire off of masculinity in this one, something that I enjoyed in the series. Instead, the film opens at a big party where this "partying like on film" is advertised as "do try this at home". Yes, I am comparing Entourage to its source material (if you can call it that), but how can you not?
I can't see this being the start of a trilogy. NOT A VICTORY!
