Everything About Her - Tagalog, All of My Life
An underrated Star Cinema gem, Everything About Her boasts powerful performances from Angel Locsin and Vilma Santos. Moving, well-paced and endearingly believable, the plot managed to showcase these women's talents without having to romanticize terminal diseases and dying.
Xian Lim tried, and we give him props for that, but man, him trying to cry is painful to watch. The screenplay could also do away with Locsin's character's family drama, it made the film unbalanced.
Sappy Filipino drama about cancer and life choices. Good actresses in Vilma Santos & Angel Locsin getting us through this unoriginal creation. Xian Lim is there too, but he just looks out of place without Kim Chiu and there is nobody else that's any noteworthy. The only thing that got me thinking was how Locsin is struggling getting older (now 31 years old) and not being one of Philippines alluring ladies. Looks like she might be headed down the path like so many of the country's other divas over the generations, becoming a little too round to keep her status as a 'sexy star'.
It's kinda sad that I like this film mostly because it's not the usual cliche romance films, and films about cheating/cheaters. I don't usually watch Filipino mainstream films, anyway. I also like this film because of the unusual pairing of Angel Locsin and Xian Lim. Thanks to Angel, their pairing works.
Aside from the great acting of Vilma Santos and Angel Locsin, there's not a lot to say here. The plot is simple and predictable. It's unoriginal, but it's a gem compared to all the Filipino mainstream films released this year. The script has its moments, but mostly it's cliche. And kind of redundant, something that you'll hear from other films.
A really good watch, if you like feel-good films.
Really tugged in the heartstrings. Emotional but campy, and it worked very well. The choice of actors (LOVE THEM ALL), was aces. Xian Lim excels, Angel Locsin is superb and Vilma Santos is forever exceptional!
not at me crying and laughing sadly once in a while because of how triggering and relatable it is for me right now (not in a rich people kind of problem), i'm sad but i enjoyed it.
The Devil Wears Prada meets Pahiram ng Isang Umaga. Parang mas malala si Dr. Vivian Rabaya kesa Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep). Feminista ang pelikula. Nakakaiyak pa itong pelikula. Magaling din si Angel Locsin. In fairness, natuwa ako kay Xian Lim dito.
kung bakit ako naiyak sa pelikula na tungkol sa isang landlord ay di ko rin alam
