The empathy for the plight of the modern young of Eighth Grade; the thoughtful examination of why people lie about sex of Easy A; the satirical deconstruction of the herd mentality of parents of Bad Luck Banging; the unflinching honesty towards youthful violence of Beautiful Beings; the age-related power dynamics of Palm Trees and Power Lines; all wrapped in layers of class, race and gender discrimination, with a powerful lead performance and the courage to approach the appropriate stakes of this subject matter. A really impressive film.

Excursion is the International Feature submission from Bosnia. Director Una Gunjak latest film is about a young girl named Iman, who’s in the eighth grade. Along with her best friend, Hana, the two of them spend most of their time alone. Seeking acceptance from her classmates, during a game of “truth or dare,” Iman lies to her peers that she’s had sex with an older boy named Damir.
All the girls in her class are intrigued by this revelation and Iman begins to be a part of their group, a part of their world. They want to know how it all happened, how it felt, how it’s like to…
gdje da počnem. tema ovog filma je toliko abnormalno tabu na našem području zbog čega mi je veoma drago da je film napravljen in the first place. kraj mi se činio JAKO out-of-place kao i neke scene koje su se činile skoro pa nedovršene. sami dijalog je bio tipični sarajlijski govor ali je bilo momenata kada sam fizički cringeala radi njega. kao sarajlija bilo mi je baš zabavno ući u film sa znanjem da osoba koju znam već 3 godine glumi glavnu ulogu, i tokom filma vidjeti sto i jednu poznatu facu. svake dvije minute sam izgovarala rečenice "jao pa ova cura ide u moju školu", "jao eno mi jarana"... isto tako mi je bilo super što, kao sarajlija, sam uspjela prepoznati svaku lokaciju na kojoj je snimano. realno, jako bitan film kako i za našu generaciju tako i za samo područje na kojem živimo, ali idalje mislim da je mogao biti uradjen malo bolje.
