Corey Haim barrels through FAST GETAWAY like a hyperactive junkie. Oh yeah...the whole drug addict thing, right! It all makes sense now. Anyway, it's not a horrible performance or anything, but he's already in the next scene before we even get there.
Cynthia Rothrock and Ken Lerner are just a couple of goofs and not very credible villains.
The movie doesn't always work because it spends too much time trying to restrain Haim and not enough time exploring the emotional impact of a father lying to his kid and a mother worried about her son robbing banks.
It's not a total loss. Some nice locations, good action stuntwork in the climax and enough manic charisma from Haim to keep it cohesive.
