The movie is fine but I keep thinking Dylan McDermott and Dermot Mulroney are the same person and this entire time watching that kept fucking with me thinking of an imaginary offspring of the two named Dermot McDermott

I really need to stop stumbling into these unnervingly COVID-era-appropriate films.
Flesh & Blood is a clear step above the tepidly pandering The Body but it's still a long way from reaching the potential of a truly good entry in the Into the Dark-verse. Diana Silvers continues to make a promising name for herself, Dermot Mulroney has some wild fun, and on pure entertainment terms alone, this is well-paced and engaging enough to satisfy the minimum requirement of a streaming horror offering. Still, with Patrick Lussier (the madman behind lowbrow epics Drive Angry and My Bloody Valentine) at the helm, this feels like a missed opportunity to have some kitschy, bad taste fun.

A decent little one location thriller. I like the setup, it creates a nicely claustrophobic feeling, and Diana Silvers gives a good performance. Besides the agoraphobic segments though, it is a bit on the bland side visually. It's also not as good at pulling the wool over your eyes as one would hope it would be, which puts Dermot Mulroney in a tough spot performance wise. I think he does a fine job, and shines in a couple moments, but he's just written all over the place. There's enough suspense to carry it through though, even if the conclusion is expected.

You know, this has probably been my favorite of the Into the Dark episodes so far. I honestly think it’s because of the Thanksgiving theme. For me, Thanksgiving isn’t a fun holiday. It’s a chore and an obligation, so it’s nice to see some people die on my least favorite holiday. I guess that’s just my thing now?
On a serious note, I really liked the dynamic this movie had going on. The father legitimately reminded me of Tim Allen. I don’t mean like if Tim Allen went nuts. I mean like the dad in this movie is how I think Tim Allen actually is. If you told me Tim the Tool…
Ok this is how you do it. I started these Into The Dark movies and wasn’t overly impressed with the first one, but then following it up with this changed my impressions. This is a tight little thriller that is almost like a stage play, very small and self-contained, the thrills are all tension based which when it comes to thrillers is a trope I love to see used.
Once again, the holiday themes, this film being thanksgiving, weren’t really that strong, but I don’t really mind that so much, I enjoyed the film regardless.
The movie becomes a really great cat-n-mouse style flick in the end and it’s very entertaining. Very much a step up from The Body.
If you’re looking for Thanksgiving-brand horror to watch, I endorse this as one of the more solid options. Great performances from Dermot and Diana help to make it a tense little thriller

I had never even heard of Diana Silvers seven or so months ago and now I've seen her in four films. She's gone from playing "Cheerleading Girl" in Glass to starring in Ma. Flesh & Blood was actually her debut film so I'm late to the game.
I've seen this story done before (and better) as most people who watch enough horror films. Modest budget, mostly filmed on one set and slightly predictable. Diana Silvers along with Dermot Mulroney elevate the material though. They're both great in this despite any shortcomings the film might have.

Anyway...
Flesh & Blood is one of those slow burn, one setting thrillers. This one can be split into two halves for me. The 1st half of the film was slow paced which is understandable as they wanted you to meet the 3 central characters. The 2nd half of the film was much more fast paced n bloody as the father/daughter pair play a very intense game of cat n mouse. Dermot Mulroney was menacing as the dad who'd do absolutely anything to protect his daughter. Diana Silvers was great as the determined agoraphobic daughter. Not a ton of blood but when the time called for bloodshed it was effective.

I fucking love you! How do I prove that?
Oh my goodness the performance from Mulroney and Silvers is pretty awesome. This movie plays horror drama and then goes straight to thriller coming to the finale.
The story is pretty good, especially with Silvers' character having an anxiety disorder that keeps her from going for help like anyone else would. This plays a key role later in the film.
The effects are decent and doesn't play a big role in this movie.
The ending is great and I can see this being an annual watch for Thanksgiving along with the 2019 movie Pilgrim.

It's very difficult to make a horror film with a thanksgiving theme. Concentrating on family was a nice angle but with its very small cast and contained location, the movie was just boring. This film was very predictable. Too much build up with no payoff.
