Can you imagine the government locking up kids? Thank God this is just a movie. As I am getting older I am finding it harder to connect to family and kid films, which seems obvious, however other adults seem to still do it without an issue. With that said, I had fun with this. I am always down to give a time traveling film a shot, even if that isn't the main plot. I chuckled quite a bit, which sometimes is all a film needs to do. Shoutout to Max, great character. It doesn't seem to matter what sci-fi film it is, the robot assistant on spaceships are interesting. The CGI isn't too bad for 1986. My only complaint, and this is strange coming from the guy who can't stand prolonged films, but this movie is shockingly short. When it ended it couldn't believe it was over, there was just so much more they could have done.
