One by one, a flock of small birds perches on a telephone wire. Sitting close together has problems enough, and then comes along a large dopey bird that tries to join them. The birds of a feather can't help but make fun of him - and their clique mentality proves embarrassing in the end.

Now this is a true underdog story. For real though, I think we all relate to the big bird in this short. He’s just trying to hang with his buds, but they want to kick him off. Then karma slaps them in the ass. I wish real life worked like that. Overall, it’s short, simple, and sweet, and that’s what I love about these shorts.

The first Pixar short I remember seeing in theaters. Simple and funny concept, but love the feather effects for the time and the setting.
Any Pokemon fans out there remember that picture with all the regional birds referencing this short? It's all I can think of when I watch this.

Not sure what these little chicken nuggets ate for breakfast but it sounds like the thrown away remnants of a dog's chew toy. I guess nobody is making fun of them since they have strength in numbers.
For the Birds couldn't be any more concise if it tried in its message to those who victimize the "different". Karma will come, and at a price you aren't willing to pay. Only you have no choice.
