I like the idea of a film that skewers the ridiculous wedding industry, and this film is almost it.
It's a pity that it chose to focus on the affair between two straight, attractive, self-obsessed, egotistical sociopaths when the background cast of characters had so much more to offer in terms of heart, comedy, tragedy and likeability. In the end, they're just there for comic relief, or to evoke sadness, or, in unforgivable underuse of the wonderful Kristin Scott Thomas, to... erm, what was she for again? To highlight how handsome Hugh Grant is? Unforgivable.
All that said, there were plenty of moments that made me giggle and that's just about worth a couple of stars.
