I absolutely adore Westworld so when Futureworld came around I was equally excited. Unfortunately a weak story and stars that didn't do much for me, Peter Fonda and Blythe Danner, really brought my excitement down fast.
The robots seemed secondary in this one to the evil corporation running Delos.
The Westworld fiasco is years behind and the corporation running Delos has put considerable money into safeguards to prevent further robot malfunctions. The corporation enlists the aid of a couple of media people to visit and hopefully tell their stories about how awesome and safe Delos is.
Would the media personnel agree?
Some new worlds are introduced but the worlds are vastly under-utilized.
Some cool dated tech is seen. A dream sequence featuring Yul Brynner is a waste of his talents.
Arthur Hill, John P. Ryan and Stuart Margolin make appearances.
While I will continue to watch in the future this one was a disappointment.
