It’s sad to see all the incredibly hard work people have put into this series be completely butchered by the nonsensical writing.
every time i watch a behind-the-scenes documentary like this (especially when it’s about a show i love like this one), i just scream “I WISH I WAS YOOOOU!” at every person on the screen. i’m so unbelievably jealous of every single person that got to work on this show...... UGH i want to work in the film industry so bad it hurts

This documentary gives due to many of the unsung heroes of the Game of Thrones, production staff and extras. Shot over a year from initial script readings through final cut, Jeanie Finley effectively shows broad aspects of production of Game of Thrones while also highlighting a number of the great people that worked behind the scenes. The scale of this show is awe-inspiring and a lot of the shooting was rough. Whether by choice or access, this documentary barely includes Weiss, Benioff or any of the stars of the show (despite how it is credited in the cast section) and I think it works to the benefit of…
HBO released this one week after the finale of Game of Thrones, the Making-Of of the final season. I have to say I'm impressed and happy that they centered this on the seldom heard contributors of the show like extras, production designers, location managers and the guy responsible for the snow. They could have easily just showcased the stars and the fans would have eaten that up, but instead we get to see the foot soldiers that make a lot of personal sacrifices to make huge productions like this possible. I hope none of them took those idiotic online petitions to heart. They deserved better than having the internet crap on a year's worth of the blood, sweat and tears they put into their hard work.
you truly can’t fault this incredible cast and crew i’m gonna miss it all so much!!!!! thanks for everything folks brb gonna go have a sob x
«it’s David & Dan’s fault mainly... basically» -an actual quote from Miguel Sapochnik
It’s almost tragic to see how all the amazingly talented people who created all the sets, costumes, make up, prosthetics, sound, vfx, etc for season 8 (+all the actors) clearly gave their absolute best and worked really hard for months... while D&D apparently just scribbled down their garbage script for the last four episodes in probably under five minutes
this ruled and i hope every single one of those million dickheads who signed that petition are forced to watch it and appreciate how much work goes into something like this
jon snow may know nothing but kit harington sure knows how to make me boo-hoo
watching this just made me feel so incredibly jealous of everyone who worked on the show. like, I know that I want to work in that kind of environment and work on something that I genuinely have a passion for but fuck if I know what I can actually DO and do WELL on a film/tv set...I need direction and I need it NOW
A lot of people really cared. A lot of people in all parts of production really cared. A lot of extras cared, a lot of directors cared, a lot of costume and production designers cared. Actors cared, and the families who didn't see each other for months cared. Stuntmen cared, and the guy who sprayed fake snow really cared. Underpayed VFX artists really cared. My friends really cared, my family really cared. I really cared.
But sadly, a few important people didn't.
I still can't believe the show is over!!
This really warmed my heart though. Is it a groud-breaking documentary? No. But it's an awesome look behind the scenes for any fan of Game of Thrones. I love that they chose to highlight the guy who played The Night King, and the extra who has been there for years. Wish we got to hear from more of the main cast as well, but I guess there are plenty of interviews and behind-the-scenes footage for that.
The series finale for the critically acclaimed fantasy porno Game of Thrones aired last Sunday, with a plot twist that many (including myself) saw coming. The character of Daenerys Targaryen, a proto-communist charismatic authoritarian leader armed with weapons of mass destruction, metamorphoses into a mass-murdering megalomaniac and kills a million people in the process. The ideology of a "greater good" guides her to make immense sacrifices of human life in the service of her cause, as it did with Stalin, Pol Pot, and Castro. As a warning against the authoritarian tendencies of modern socialist leaders, it could not be more relevant or poignant.
Yet many criticized this development as rushed-- and therein lies the hidden brainwashing of the…
Muy emotiva si se la ve después de acabar la temporada 8.
The watch ended.
This documentary of the final season of thrones is better than the season its documenting oddly enuff!!
This even though Season 2 wasn’t as good as Season 1 I still thoroughly enjoyed watching it. I believe that Season 1’s story was more interesting - Season 2 had the better finale by far, and looking back after I finished the show It probably had the best finale of the whole show. Loved this season too. As you’ll see in these GoT reviews, I’ll probably just fangirl over every season expect Season 8.
I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU GAME OF THRONES
Took me TWO years and a full series rewatch to get the nerve to stomach this and boy oh boy. D&D’s writing be damned, these people put in WORK. Loved how this centered on extras and makeup artists and snow techs. They deserve the most praise. More high fantasy pls
It’s exactly a month ago today since I finished watching Game of Thrones, the show which I would now call my favourite ever. Although I’m not the biggest tv series watcher, I’m not sure if I will ever again come across a show like GoT which has just been so special and powerful.
Even including the mad-ness of season 8 (and 7 in my opinion) watching this show, in the span of under 2 months, was amazing.
I’ve had a much different experience watching it compared to people who have watched, and waited, for years and years. But in some ways I’ve liked this way better. I both had wary expectations with the ending, and felt like I was in…
My definition of a perfect season of a show. This whole season is suspenseful, action packed, and great. I had no problems with this season and did not find myself bored at any point.
Seriously the coolest thing ever UGH I would’ve given anything to just be on set, like yes Mr. Stark I will fetch you your almonds at 4am.
God I’m gonna miss this show and I’m so sad about that last season, especially after seeing how much work everyone put into it. Also the white horses with the pink stains all over them 😭 poor babies.
I just finished all seasons of Game of Thrones which made me crave for more content so I watched this :D
I really enjoyed watching this more than the trashy eighth season of GOT. It was really so interesting to see the ‘behind the scenes’ of the crew!! It was so sad to see the crew spend SEVEN months on building ‘king’s landing’ and it was just wasted on the shitty writing:) all i know is pain:’). + I’m really proud of the stuntman who became the night king 🥺
it was acc my dream to be an extra in the series
Out of every season to make a documentary on; why season 8? Why not Season 4 or something... And yes I did watch the whole 80+ hour show in a span of 3 months, and yes it is my new favorite show... Will be reviewing the show and using this documentary as “Game of Thrones” itself just because they took down my Season 1 review when they took the show off of Letterboxd.
Here’s GoT every season ranked Best to Worst:
Watched this like documentary 2 years ago so I don’t remember much
But I do remember crying the hardest I ever cried because of how much of my life was dedicated to this show
Even though the last season was utter dogshit
