Any chance to revisit the 90s and the height of 'Cool Britannia' is fine by me, but I found this short film a rather underwhelming affair.
To be honest, I'm not altogether sure what purpose it's '90s setting actually even provided, beyond the 'ooh look, weren't mobile phones big back then and everyone was on so much coke that they loved Tony Blair haha' moments, especially as the kind of misogynistic abusive crap that Cass (Dakota Blue Richards) goes through is still occurring to this day as we have seen through the Me Too movement.
Also, I feel there really should be an LB list devoted to really obvious fake penises in films. This, 2005's Festival, and The Wolf of Wall Street all apply.
