Entertaining piece of silliness with some clever lines and sprightly performances. Plus as a bonus both Louis Armstrong and ever so briefly Dorothy Dandridge!
A wild horse racing comedy with Dick Powell lying himself into a saddle he got to swing to handle. Overly stupid, but a great cast on form making it fun. And most importantly the Louis Armstrong musical numbers giving this the cool touch! Ride that scooter Satchmo!
A surprisingly good late 30's Dick Powell semi musical. Best of all Louis Armstrong has a fairly substantial part and a more than fairly substantial song "Jeepers Creepers" the other two numbers are fun but unremarkable. The horse race at the end is also great fun rather surprisingly done as Mack Sennett type slapstick comedy.
