Watched with Bryan at 428. Funny filmmaking that seemed like a natural progression for Sangra.
I saw a prescreening of this movie and while I'm quite sure I never would've seen it otherwise, it was completely different from anything else I've seen and I can always appreciate that in a movie. It's a (mostly) humorous slice of life look at artsy "millennials" (I hate myself for even typing that) and while the two running narratives didn't really meet up successfully in the end, it was a much more solid movie than I expected. Absolutely loved the score and music choices too. Even the audience members who were 20 years older than me thought it was funny, and that says something.
Great movie. 7/10
This movie made me write my first review ever.
It really shows what the upcoming generation is all about. Of course in a strongly exaggerated way, though a scary lot of it is actually kinda true. Like the talking to each other as both look on their phones walking through the shop not even listening to what the other is saying or standing under the tree at the house in Long Island to check on Instagram because there is no WiFi.
The visuals were great too, the music and sound in general was good and I just really liked the style of the film itself.
I won't go into more detail, because there is just too much I care to mention.
Thanks.
