Such a simple and enjoyable film that holds a special place in my heart.
There are no stand out performances, incredible set pieces or crazy stunts. Just a normal low-budget British film about a bunch of normal British lads from a normal estate in South London during the 90's. The fact it is well written, funny and has likeable characters to drive the plot forward is only a bonus.
Very different from the rest of Love's films, but that's not a bad thing at all. You can see hints of what he will bring to his later work such as the narration, cockney slang and, of course, Danny Dyer.
I'm glad that after all these years I finally managed to watch it and I am even happier that it wasn't a bad film at all.
