Gosei Sentai Dairenjā THE MOVIE
It’s incredible action choreography, mature narrative, cool designs and strong acting makes for an amazing series.
A lot of these Super Sentai “movies” are really just like, episodes that are five minutes longer with maybe slightly better production values. This is no exception and though I LOVE Dairanger, all this really ends up feeling like is just a decent episode of the show that I haven’t seen before. It’s good, I mean, it’s Dairanger, but it isn’t more than just an extra episode, essentially. Still recommended if you’re a fan of Dairanger and want one more bonus episode, even if it’s a little bit filler-y and really doesn’t deserve to be called a movie.
I like how they thanked us at the beginning for watching. It’s nice to feel the filmmakers appreciate you taking the time to watch. Maybe Hollywood wouldn’t need to keep Tibetans out of their movies so the Chinese will watch them if they did that
You can really get a lot of mileage out of this movie in 2020. If you've seen it, you know why.
Beyond the political joke, it's a very fun long episode. I liked the effects when they're trapped in the hat, and usually there's always something fun happening.
Starts as a less-than-average episode, but the "best of" returns of several best "monsters of the week" and attacks helps elevate the back half.
I would have to agree. Dairanger was in my opinion, one of the best t Sentai series of the 90s if not of all time. It had the best costume designs, best plot, best characters, best action, best everything. And the soundtrack is amazing. I still listen to it to this day. Even though the actors in any Sentai series are suppose to overact for the sake of the child audience,
I can be comfortable watching Dairanger and I'm a grown adult. The genre is not too childish nor too mature. I think they nailed it on the dot. The storyline is amazing and almost every episode has a twist to the plot. There are only a handful of episodes…
