Three young women on getaway are stalked by a satanist in an upstate New York cabin on a snowy night. One whose grandfather was murdered years prior under suspicious circumstances might hold the key...
Low budget creeper with dry atmospherics reminiscent of Dante Tomaselli and Larry Fessenden when not belabored by weighty topics like theology and the nature of existence. All three seem unnaturally invested in deep philosophical conversations, even after the satanic shit hits the fan. A bit too much and too often like a personal manifesto of writer/director Sal Ciavarello that overpowers the story and its characters.
Regardless the actresses handle the material well as cold dread settles over everything. Some silly techno soundtrack strands and muffled dialogue clearly mark it as a product of its Y2K era. Would've been stronger without so much angsty mumbo-jumbo. Watched via Profound Images's DVD.
