These are the movies that I'm fairly confident will be looked back upon as the "classics" from this generation. Whether…

Her is like nothing I've ever seen before. It's wonderful, absolutely wonderful. I could describe this movie with several adjectives. And you know what? I'm going to do so. Her is: fantastic, brilliant, funny, magical, magnificent, sweet, sincere, breathtaking, mind blowing, moving, marvelous, and genuine. Spike Jonze, you've really out done yourself man. Really, you've got something special here. I feel so similar to Theodore, except I did not fall in love with an OS; I fell in love with this movie.
Scarlett Johansson gives the best voice performance I have ever heard. She beats all Disney and Pixar movie character's voices. Sorry guys, you've had some good ones, but you haven't had Scarlett. Yes, she is that good. I…

I feel pinkish and light . I feel sunlight touching the skin of my back at three o'clock in the morning. Delight, along with all sorts of previously undiscovered emotions sweeping across me as if I'm struck by a windstorm. Spike Jonze's modern love story possesses unutterable strength and sends us to unspeakable places. Gripping and very, very human.
I love how Theodore laughs and dances around with indifference to the world around him when he's in love. I love how Samantha uses mesmerizing music to substitute photographs. Spike Jonze and his film and its color, they all give me tremendous warmth. Heartache? Yes, but I'm also healed at the same time.
Every frame here is a painting. (what a…

Part of jvince's Top Ten Films of 2013
The Good: Game over, we have a winner. Her is the best film of the year. I don't need to see the rest, because there's no conceivable way anyone could top Spike Jonze's brilliant and timely satire. This is this year's Eternal Sunshine. This is this year's Lost in Translation. This is this year's Punch-Drunk Love. Her may be science-fiction, but it is one of the most real movies I've seen in quite some time. Like Before Midnight, it exposes the ugly side of romance and the fragility of the human heart.…

Thank you.
Thank you, Spike Jonze. Thank you, Joaquin Phoenix. Thank you, Scarlett Johansson. Thank you, Amy Adams. Thank you, 2013. Most of all, thank you, Her.I don't know excactly what I expected, I tried to go in knowing as little as possible, but I definitely didn't expect anything close to what I got.
With Her, Jonze has given this generation, and hopefully many more, the greatest romance of our time, with a spin that is handled with love and care even though it is also there to poke a bit of fun at our deminishing human interaction.
I was dead certain Richard Linklater had a firm grip on that honour, but for me, personally, this goes above and… -
Perfection.
It doesn't happen often when a film seems tailor made for me. So when I say this film is perfect, I mean it is perfect for me. This is not a term I use lightly and it is certainly not one representing any objective assessment of this film. I've always felt that the purpose of art is to allow us to learn something about ourselves, whether as a person or as a species. Her manages to say something about both and brilliantly uses a minimalist SF approach to convey what it wants to say. It extrapolates the society we live in today and turns it into a tangible and believable future, pants and all.
Our relation to technology troubles…

Ladies and Gentlemen: The Essentials -#2Review In A Nutshell:
The last couple of months have been hard, staring into the abyss titled "life"; with very little room behind me to run to, soon leaving me with only one single decision, which is to move forward. I am constantly worried about my future, whether or not I would find success in my chosen career pathway, whether I would find love, whether I would be able to set out the goals that I have set for myself long ago. It was being in this dark pit for far too long, still with no signs of getting out that I realised that…

The prettiest film I've ever seen. One of the only films I've watched that actually has something real and wise to say about love. World building is amazing.

*cries thinking about it*

Muy buena película donde es descrita la sociedad materialista, superficial, y tecnológica en la que vivimos.
-
Probably one of the best depictions of love in cinema to date, and one of the lovers doesn't even have a heartbeat.

at first i didn't wanna see this because i thought "ew thats so weird why is he in love with siri" even tho the cinematography looks stunning and the quotes are relatable i still thought it was cringy but then it was actually good and ironically one of the most romantic movies i've seen and probs one of the most romantic movies ever created. it's so colorful but lonely also joaquin phoenix's sad green eyes and mustache also rooney mara aka catherine is my cinnamon roll i would watch another 3, 4 hour movie with only her little flashback clips

I have no long review for this one, because I think that people who are debating on whether or not to watch this movie, just should.
"Her" is an experience like no other. There is a warmth and joy to this movie, and each and every performance adds to that. With incredible actors and actresses, and a solid (if not perfect) script/story, "Her" lands in my top ten, easily.

One of the most beautiful films I've ever seen. Wonderful cinematography and such a charming style. Throughout the entire film I'm drawn to the colours and dialogue between every character. I can't even begin to describe my love for the soundtrack as it's honestly magnificent. Each time I watch this film I relate to it in different ways. I've watched it a thousand times and no doubt will watch it a thousand times more. Brilliant film, definitely a favourite.

Top 20 material for me. This film just keeps getting better on repeat viewings.
