How to make a character interesting besides her good writing skills? By physically hurting other people according to the writer. The tone of this movie is all over the place.

It is understandable that you can create a character that is not pleasant.
It may be comprehensible that you don't even make a connection with it, or at least that you have some empathy for it.
But when your character is so unfortunately insufferable, the truth is that there is no way you can care about its story and its outcome.That's the fatal and crucial flaw that afflicts Hakibi, and that's why it gets lost so bad.

Reminds me a lot of when I was 15 and hadn't gotten diagnosed with autism yet. Albeit somewhat exaggerated. Not being able to properly communicate my feelings verbally, I often ended up feeling frustrated and acted out instead. Hibiki constantly breaking social rules as if nothing was wrong because she doesn't know any better also resonates so so much with how I used to feel. I sincerely think she is just really trying her best. Bless her soul, I hope she gets help so that she won't keep fighting people for no reason.

For a film about a genius writer the film sure has terrible writing. There is nothing less interesting to me than a genius writer or artist that everyone adores and agrees wrote the next bible.

Could have been really great. But unfortunately they made the characters shallow and the plot mediocre.

I think this movies as a lot of issues that aren't really cool with (the fact that de main character is just being violent instead of communicating and does not care about social and other people is really problematic) but as an artist myself this movie really does helped me in my life and so this is to myself a really important movie. I got really kicked out by this movie so i needed it. Thank you

Hibiki Akui, Gadis SMA berusia 15 tahun yang sangat menyukai sastra. Dalam salah satu dialognya dia pernah mengatakan "Aku sangat suka membaca dan menulis novel". Konflik dalam film ini sebenarnya adalah attitude daei si Hibiki yang gak bisa ngontrol emosi. Dia lebih suka mengekspresikan diri sesuai keinginanannya dan tak jarang menggunakan kekerasa (gak kehitung dia udah habisin berapa orang). Konflik sesama teman juga dimunculkan, sampe saling tampar karena nominasi penghargaan Akutagawa dan Naoki. Untuk penggemar Keyakizaka46, Silakan ditonton Oshinya (Hirate Yurina). Saya sih kesel nontonnya.
