What a fantastic movie. Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing and John Carradine all under one creepy roof.
Price is fantastic (wasn't he always?). Cushing brilliantly portrayed a mousey, scared character. Lee was exact and demanding and authoritative.
Then there's John Carradine.
It's no secret that I love the man. He starred and appeared in such wonderful crap. Sometimes he would phone it in and sometimes he wouldn't. He has such an amazing history in movies, not just horror and sci-fi, and then next thing you know all he could do was show up to cameo as the crazy old man. This is not one of those occasions. He was given his chance to shine and man does he deliver.…
