A simple guide on how to end relationships before they begin.
the matrix playing on a little tv in the basement of a porn theater is the ideal aesthetic
John Wilson lives a few blocks from me and sometimes I feel like I can’t go outside without the threat of being filmed doing my silly little activities in my silly little outfits
John Wilson had better not cross paths with me on the street otherwise he won’t be single any more.
john wilson is the coolest uncool person ever.

"you may actually even end up at a wedding...
but this is simply a world you will never understand.
and even when you're by yourself on those stormy nights, you can have peace knowing that you're going to be waking up alone. and you'll be able to live in this suspended reality until you merge with the infinite.
because, at the end of the day, if you don't know what you want in a relationship, then nobody else should either. and, like a superhero, nobody will ever truly know who you really are. because love is a dangerous, mysterious feeling.
and the perfect mate will always be yourself."

It definitely feels like it is drawn from his actual experiences more than any other. Right down to him describing an encounter with an Amsterdam prostitute in convincing detail.
“New York will always be the perfect place to be alone.”
I want to live in New York but I’m worried I’ll know no one there and I’ll feel isolated in a city filled with people. This captured that feeling
