1985 Directed by Philippe Mora
After his sister is turned into a werewolf and subsequently killed, Ben White decides to help the enigmatic Stefan Crosscoe fight the growing population of lupine monsters, along with the lovely Jenny Templeton. Traveling to Transylvania, Ben, Jenny and Crosscoe attempt to hunt down the powerful werewolf queen, Stirba, and must face her furry followers, as well as other supernatural forces.

Hooptober 9: It’s in Space Now
It only took one sequel to permanently reduce (or elevate) The Howling franchise to pure b-movie cheese. That’s honestly impressive.
At no point do these werewolves look like werewolves. I need to point that out. They try with some rubbery puppets for closeups, but the full body suits resemble deformed apes with claws. That’s apparently because they were sent ape costumes instead of wolf and were told to make it work. In a really dumb way, they kinda did. They look terrible but it certainly adds to the cheesiness.
Also these werewolves are only affected by titanium? Including titanium stakes to the heart? And their leader lives in Transylvania? And she also performs magic?…
Ok so first off, I never saw this movie until today because somehow it has always eluded me. I’ve suffered through part 7 yet never caught this one because sometimes life is just like a werewolf bitch. Still, I’ve always known about it because it’s a horror movie and a sequel so duh, but my point is that all these years I thought this was called Howling II: STRIBA - Werewolf Bitch and today I come to find out that’s it’s actually STIRBA - Werewolf Bitch and JFC WHAT ELSE HAS BEEN A LIFELONG LIE HUH? It’s borderline unforgivable I know and I’m kinda beside myself for not knowing the truth until now but I will not spend (too much)…

this is one of those weird sequels that has almost completely removed itself from the original. if it had a different title, i would have no idea that it was meant to be a sequel to the howling. the tone is so different and although describing this as "trash" would be correct, i kind of like it. it's just so bad that it's actually kind of good.
werewolf punk but like SSI Gold Box CRPG cover art come to life in a new wave ossuary with sunglasses & decorative plate mail during a Wiccan ritual kind of way with an overflow of erotic energy such that it converts into glowing red and orange lazers and occupies capes and emits from fingertips in between werewolf shoot/hack 'em ups in nighted forests & performs neat Don't Look Now/Phenomena riffage and Subspecies anticipation with on location in Eastern Europe shooting in Soviet controlled Prague & yet somehow there is Christopher Lee on a starfield intoning about the apocalypse and Sybil Danning as the Ultimate Witch Queen, who drinks green life NRG Bathory-style from her victims in order not only to de-age but also to get perfectly teased hair. also girl werewolfs totally off New Wave punkoid TMNT extra-style creeps & that is awesome.

Christopher Lee. Sybil Danning. Crazed Werewolf-On-Werewolf action. A mad post-gothic fantasia making its own world out of itself. Maybe my favorite werewolf movie of all time, but that is a storm which rages constantly in my mind with no ready solution.
What a ride! Another Howling sequel that easily surpasses the original. I wasn't surprised that this is also the director of Howling 3 as both of these sequels are completely bonkers. I mean it's called Stirba-werewolf Bitch aka Your Sister is a Werewolf! You know things are going to get weird. And do they ever! Christopher Lee hunting werewolves through a backdrop of new wave clubs, werewolf sex cults and pure 80s tom foolery!

I mean it starts with Christopher Lee reading some epic philosophical nonsense floating in a galaxy...then he puts on his gnarly new wave sunglasses...you know its going to be nothing like the original and therefore much more weirder and amazing!
So this sequel went in a far more pervy and scandalous direction while blasting a neverending onslaught of 80s tom foolery and I'm totally here for all of it. And I'm going to describe every sleazy moment because that's what all of you perverts want isn't it??

Not only one of the worst sequels I’ve seen, but one of the worst werewolf movies too. The lore made no sense. A sex cult of furries is unique for the genre I guess. There are three titles for this movie - Howling II, Howling II: Your Sister is a Werewolf (official title card), and Howling II: Stirba - Werewolf Bitch. Obviously the latter of the titles is the best and actually fits the tone of this godforsaken movie. We get a sleepwalking performance by Christopher Lee, diet Jamie Lee Curtis, and some blonde bozo who gets bonus points for being named Ben. Weird editing, weird George Lucas-esque scene…
