The nicest thing I can say about this film is that it's good to see Joss Whedon getting behind new avenues of film distribution. In Your Eyes is available via Vimeo's On Demand platform, a slick and ridiculously accessible solution that I would love to see grow in prominence as we head towards an increasingly digital future.
Sadly, the script itself is pretty dull, which is unfortunate considering who's behind it. You know what would have been cool? If the film had questioned its own premise. By taking itself at face value, it winds up feeling way, way more generic than it really should. Aside from one or two cute moments, I think the film miiigght have been more enjoyable…
